about

This is one of my favorites — mainly because it's the first collection of "clean" tracks I've ever released. There's a massive difference between working on drones and actual "songs," one of which is that you can't hide behind a wall of noise with your melodies, and that can be a bit scary!

So, this record was meant to be a challenge in songwriting and "clean-sounding music production," and even though I'd fix and improve a lot in terms of production, I still really like these compositions! Some of them are tracks I've made early, way before "Artificial Light," but back then, I hadn't had the faintest idea on mixing and other stuff like that — so this record forced me to learn how to start approaching concepts such as "limiting," "mixing," "compression," and so on :D

There are many things I'd fix and improve here in terms of production (that's why this record still isn't available on Spotify), and maybe I will do that at some point... but for now, I'm still really happy that I've made this album and I like to get back to it sometimes just to see what I'd do differently today.
